What is Line by Line's turnaround?

Standard turnaround is 24 hours. STAT services for those pertinent dictated records are offered by Line by Line at no charge. If a provider requires consistent same-day turnaround a fee of rate plus one-half will be imposed.

How does Line by Line receive dictation?

Dictation can be performed via any phone line via a toll-free call-in number and personalized access code. Digital handheld units can be utilized for those preferring mobility. Dictation is transmitted through a secure, encrypted connection to our secure servers. The transcriptionists retrieve the dictation via secure, encrypted connection, as well. Additionally, Line by Line offers dictation via speech mike, as well as your own EMR dictation protocols.

Do you work with electronic medical record programs?

Yes. Currently we interface with various hospital and clinic-based electronic medical record programs including eClinicalWorks, Mosaiq, Radius, Epic, MedWorks, Flex Medical, IKnowMed, OpalRad, Accelerad and Ramsoft, just to name a few.

How are transcribed files transferred?

Transcribed files are delivered back to our file-retrieval web portal via secure HIPAA-compliant file transmission protocol. For our medical providers, we also offer EMR entry should you prefer that your transcription be dropped directly into your Electronic Health Record.

How long are files stored?

Line by Line maintains indefinite document storage as long as you are a current customer. Should the relationship terminate your files will be retained for 30 days and then permanently purged.

Is Line by Line HIPAA compliant?

Yes. We take great strides to remain in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
